Worldwide HCP market sees “small dip” in first quarter

Results from IDC showed total unit shipments fell by 2.5 percent to 25.8 million, while shipment value fell by 1.2 percent in the same period.

The data, from IDC’s Worldwide Quarterly Hardcopy Peripherals Tracker, outlined the “small decline” in 1Q2015 for the global hardcopy peripherals (HCP) market, as total unit shipments fell by 2.5 percent to 25.8 million and shipment value also declined by 1.2 percent. Despite these figures, the analyst also identified “positive accomplishments” including colour laser growing by two percent year-over-year and China being the “most upbeat” laser market in year-over-year growth”.
